Under the terms and conditions of Indian Civil Rights Acts of 1968, tribal courts may only impose up to a year of imprisonment to offenders. Heinous crimes like rape and murder will fall under a federal agent and would need as U.S. Attorney for prosecution.
Judges, lawyears, advocates of tribal courts strongly believe that it is good at what it was designed for. Judges here greatly focused on healing and rehabilitation.
Offender are required to have a research on their heritage and involve themselves in ceremonies with tribal elders who have knowledge in traditions
