Hope for those whose trust is in Jesus

By Curt Deschambeau at 04/25/07 14:31

Brother, do not lose hope, for through much tribulation shall we enter into the kingdom of God.

And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, if any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand

the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God which is poured out without mixture into the cup of His indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb

and the smoke of their torment ascendeth up forever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

And I heard a voice from Heaven saying unto me, write, blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth; yea, sayeth the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them. (Rev 14:9-13)

Are you afflicted?

By Curt Deschambeau at 04/20/07 17:45
Is any among you afflicted? Let him pray. Is any merry? Let him sing Psalms (James 5:13)

If your church is not capable of providing healing by prayer, then you pray for yourself. Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

If you turn to man (the world, doctors, medicine, etc.) then that will be your reward.

Thy sins are forgiven - Luke 7:48-50

By Curt Deschambeau at 04/17/07 21:35
Thank God Jesus came to save the sinner!

When we, who are of the common people, the whores, drunkards, publicans, etc., hear the words of Jesus, we fall at His feet and worship Him because of our state.

Thy faith has saved thee...go in peace (to join)

Peace:

  • A state of national tranquility
  • Exemption from the rage and havoc of war
  • The tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and content with its earthly lot, of whatsoever sort that is

If your hand offends thee, cut it off?

By Curt Deschambeau at 04/16/07 10:14
When Jesus talked about plucking out your own eye or cutting off your hand or foot in Matthew 18, he was not talking about actually performing that gruesome act. Instead, he was saying if someone in your assembly (i.e., congregation, church, etc.) causes someone who is small in number, size, or quantity (figuratively; dignity) to be offended in Him, you should cast that person out of your assembly; that the rest of you do not perish because of that ONE person.

If Jesus was so grieved and hurt about one of His own doing that to a little one, you better take heed for your own salvation.

What is sickness and disease?

By Curt Deschambeau at 04/13/07 15:38
It is a paddle. David said, "Before I was afflicted, I went astray." (Psalm 119:67)

In the past, when a kid got into trouble at school, he would be paddled. Now, there is no punishment for their action. Sickness and disease is the manifestation of unpunished sin (spiritually unrepented sin). God has NOTHING to do with bringing upon sickness and disease, that (sickness and disease) is from Satan. There is no death or disease IN GOD, because God is holy. We are sickened due to sin, which is of Satan, not God.

Sickness, disease and sin are kin. Through sin, death entered into the world. (Rom 5:12) Sickness is incipient [the beginning of] death. (for the body)

I can say that if I sin and get sick or diseased, (as a consequence of my sin, because there WILL be a consequence for all of our actions) I seek God unconditionally. I pray I could set my affection upon God always, then I would never be sick. (Col 3:2)

Why are there not large amounts of miracle healings?

By Curt Deschambeau at 04/13/07 15:10
First of all, I speak on this with tenderness and the hope that we can find answers, but are we not a heathen nation who puts our trust in men?

If a Christian cannot find healing in the church, where then can he turn? There is hope. If anyone humbles himself before God, cries out to Jesus Christ and turns from man, he will be helped.

Remember, we all live forever (for a soul cannot die) and our childrens' souls are in the hands of God.

II Chronicles 6:12-42 and 7:1-10, Luke 12:4-7, Matthew 13:58

Is It OK to Sin?

By Curt Deschambeau at 04/13/07 15:04
The soul that sinneth, it shall die (i.e., be separated from God). (EZE 18:4) God cannot look upon sin. Sin translated means to; miss the mark and therefore not share in the prize.

Sin is the transgression of the law (I John 3:4). God said, "I will not enter into the city" (HOSEA 11:9). Even God's own Son cried out on the cross, "My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken me?" (MATT 27:46) Therefore, Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us, for it is written, Cursed [is] everyone who hangeth on a tree. (GALATIONS 3:13) For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit. (I PETER 3:18)

Just in the fact that you are alive today, attests to the mercy of God, that we should repent and turn to God through Jesus Christ and be healed (saved).

Is It God's Will to Heal?

By Curt Deschambeau at 04/13/07 09:21
In Mark 1:40-41, a leper came to Him, worshipping and kneeling down to Him saying, "If Thou wilt, Thou canst make me clean."

Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched forth His hand and touched him and said to him, "I WILL be thou clean."

If Jesus would have said any other thing, then men would have the right to say that it's not God's will to heal. Not only IS it God's will to heal, but it's His will to save you from your sins.

Healing is part of the salvation to the believer.

Do You Know How Powerful God Is?

By Curt Deschambeau at 04/12/07 13:51
When He said, "Let there be light", and there was light, this light was not the sun because the sun was not created until the fourth day.

This light was Jesus Christ, and he sustained life on the earth. The earth (the grass, trees, flowers, bushes, seed, etc.) did exist, live and bring forth by this light.

And God said, "I have created a new Heaven and a new Earth, (present tense in the book of Revelation) therefore, there willl be no need for the sun and the moon, for the Lamb will be the light thereof."
