To make my presence known on the internet.

How did you decide on a name for your website?
Cindy Bauer.com had been taken so since I'm an author, I made it Cindy Bauer Books (books written by me)
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
I not only promote my own books, but I offer assistance to other authors, interview well known authors, review books,etc.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To make a viable income writing and selling my books and helping others in publishing theirs.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
Right now I make more freelancing assistance to others than selling my own books.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would do more visual, snail mail and internet marketing.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Yes for now.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
POD publishing is expensive and doesn't offer any free marketing for authors.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Obtaining an agent or reputable publisher.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Submitting to search engines and publishing multiple blog sites.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
More time involved in editing and maintaining than anticipated.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
4+ years and as long as I'm making money doing what I'm doing.
